RunningFree 24-10-2005, 10:27 Ask BruciesBaBe goldenfleece 24-10-2005, 10:27 I went to the 2nd nights gig at bramall lane and it was FANTASTIC!!!! Tunnel of Love tour 88, great. Cant remember much about it but I know it was amega experience......still got the tour T shirt somewhere...... carcrash 24-10-2005, 10:31 I went and the ticket says it was the tunnel of love express tour and the back up band was the E street band. There was no support band and they played for about 3 hours. It was on 9th July 1988. The stage was at the bramall lane end facing the kop and I trhink there were about 50,000 there. One of the back up singers was the red haired woman bruce married. Her name is Pat somerthing. I might still have the programme knocking around somewhere. I've still got my ticket. Katya 24-10-2005, 16:39 I was there - I'd been to see him at Villa Park (lived in Brum in those days) and was so bowled over by it I drove all the way up to Sheffield to see him again and he was just as good. Could catch the chorus to most songs and the beat was strong too man ! :D SlimboyFat 24-10-2005, 20:52 Living at Whiston, Rotherham and although I can't remember being able to hear the lyrics the beat was load enough for the neighbour to come round and ask us to turn it down :) I'm not joking, we had a few complaints from the neighbour prior to this (we where young) and he came storming round. brother just said "you better ask Bruce" and slammed the door in his face :D GabbleRatcht 24-10-2005, 21:45 Originally posted by GabbleRatcht I was on the local crew :) The sound system was by Clair Brothers. I'd be suprised if you could here it at the back, nevermind Darnal ;) I am a sound engineer. I know what I am talking about. It was a thinly veiled taunt to see if anyone else around here knew what I was talking about :D Obviously not Clair Brothers S4 cabinets are the most widely used PA in the world, but they throw about 2 feet. Rubbish but they have lots of them. Still don't believe it was heard loudly at any of these places though. |
