Ok, first of all, my stupid pc has locked up again so now not only can I not use two keys together - therefore there will be no symbols, but I can't use the return key either so there are no paragraphs... but my question is, are we all turning into grumpy buggas, if you were to ask some of the poorest or those with health problems if they enjoyed christmas, for example, they would probably be more positive than the thread here (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=66873)... I'm not saying it's anyone's fault - but everyone seems so negative. When we think about it have we really got that much to complain about - and what good does being miserable do us - you see here I would have a question mark - it does us no good whatever, just makes us dwell on our problems more and we make ourselves miserable. Nobody else makes us miserable, our problems don't make us miserable, it's ourselves who let us get miserable... Is it just me, or could we all be a lot happier if we just looked at the brighter side of life rather than the darker side...

Speaking of which, why the need for a possessive apostrophe for a plural word?

I know - I didn't want to do it as I am a firm believer in only using apostrophes in the correct places, but so and sos looked odd... don't think it went un noticed ;)

I think that it may have something to do with the fact that people who have been close enough to death to genuinely understand that it's waiting round the corner for all of us, also understand how much there is to be grateful for.

It has been remarked to me that if I could make people truly understand how precious each day is, then I could make a mint in motivational speaking, but the problem is that in order to make people grasp how special things are I would have to put them in true fear for their lives, and that's not very ethical, is it?

By being diagnosed, I have been given a gift, to see how special each moment in life is. Most people given this bittersweet gift have not got long to live, but all being well (cross fingers, touch wood etc etc) I will now have another few decades to live out this gift. I never want to lose the special feeling of every sunny day being so beautiful it makes me cry (and I'm crying typing this too). I never want the knowledge of being alive to become mundane to me again.

:( Aww Medusa, I hope your ok.

We all don't understand how lucky we are sometimes.

I whinge about nothing and then see or hear about people who have it so much worse and feel terrible about moaning about such trivial things.

Lotti, did you recieve the speech again from your mother about wasting food and how there are people starving in Africa, which makes it more of a waste :P

I'm happiest when I'm grumpy apparently...

I suppose I ought to be grateful I'm not dead ... but then again if I was I'd be able to sleep all day.

Ever walked into a room full of grumpy people and instantly felt cheerful? :D Suddenly you're a little ray of sunshine determined to spread sweetness and light and lalalaness all around....

Nothing makes them madder!
