Has anyone got this camera? I'm thinking of bidding for one on Ebay (please don't compete with me...I'm a poor student :( )

Is it a good buy?

don't own it (and how stupid am I. I own a digi camera and it is a powershot 60 and I never realised)but there is a review here (http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/a95.html)

Evidently that's a step up from an A80, I've seen results from a guy's A80 and they're brilliantly rich and sharp - the only gripe I'd have is the fact that on enlarging them on my monitor [19" TFT 1280*1024] they look pixely after three 'mouse scrolls' as it were.

But this has got more mpx than the A80, which should sort that out...

Ive got an a70, and its great. Easy to use, takes great photos, and has lots of manual settings for those that know a bit more about photography and dont want to just point and shoot. It can also (with an adaptor) take standard SLR lenses as well. THe only gripe Ive got with it is the flash is prone to redeye, even with the reduction on, but 5 minutes in photoshop fixes that.

Ive got an A80. Its a good compact camera. I've found the flipout screen on the back to be very useful.

I've had an A95 for a few months now. Excellent camera. I chose this one because of the flip out screen (useful for composing self shots) and uses normal AA batteries (I use rechargables but can use duracell in an emergency. Has 5 megapixels and uses cheap compact flash cards. Cost me about £199 but is cheaper now.
Thoroughly recommend it.
It's a bit bulky compared to super slim models but no more so than a normal 35mm camera.

The A80 was reckoned to be the best of the series, but the others are all good. You will not be dissapointed if you get it.
If you do the 3rd link on here may be of interest to you.
