Lockjaw   11 #1 Posted November 3, 2010 We're playing at a festival in Langdale in May and, in a fit of not-wanting-to-take-the-huge-tent-along-all-our-instruments-and-gear-and-spend-an-hour-putting-it-up-when-we-could-be-joining-in-the-music-sesson I've just booked one of the yurts on the NT site.  Has anyone stayed in one of these anywhere? Are they worth the dosh? Am I mad?  http://www.lakedistrictcamping.co.uk/campsites/southwest/longvalley_yurts.htm
 Share this content via...
Phanerothyme   12 #2 Posted November 3, 2010 Not personally, but we've heard great things about them. You're not mad, or a hippie. It's OK!
 Share this content via...

KelHodgson   10 #6 Posted January 17, 2012 http://www.yorkyurts.com/  My sister in law had a great time at York Yurts with her other half back in December. They can be catered (apparently they food is lovely) or there's a kitchen/cooking area as well as hot tub! There are some great reviews on trip advisor too. Camping pro   10 #7 Posted January 18, 2012 No I haven’t tried sleeping in a Yurt but would like to try it, but I do like sleeping in my own tents. Will probably try it in 2013 some time, let me know if you go and if you enjoy it.  There are quite a few on my website http://www.campingsitesinbritain.co.uk and we allow you to search by ‘Static Tents’ as there known on our website, but I definitely like the idea if its raining, no more putting the tent up when its chucking it down
 Share this content via...
