First, it was the mobile network, 3, with the advert with the giant jellyfish (and others advertising 3), then the Honda diesel engine, which looked like something that someone taking a certain 1960s recreational drug would hallucinate....and now there's the Orange advert with the dancers in the kitchen.

The first and the last don't seem to have anything to do with what they are advertising, and the Honda advert is just off the wall.

Is anyone else as confused as I am?

 :loopy:

Well it certainly got your attention, that would suggest they have done their job and done it well

Perhaps there are different adverts, that others find odd!

Yeah I think they have done their job. Think about it, you have found the adverts weird, and are telling people about it (ie me), and people like myself will now be looking out for these particular adverts. I dont remeber the ones you mean, so I will be keeping a look out for them.

I like the ballet dancers in the orange ad; they have such grace and elegance, and fluidity of movement.

i think it's quite clever.

of course, I would not have guessed from the body of the ad itself, that it was for orange.

The ad that DOES annoy the living **** out of me, is the one for alpro soya milk, where all these jungl-y green-daubed types massage a bloke as he's walking down the street, supping this soya based drink.

I hate the Alpro advert too and the Orange 'dancers' one is almost the same as a Baileys ad that appeared last christmas.

The advert that really bugs me at the moment is Olay Regeneris face cream which has women dancing about in front of mirrors chuffed to bits at looking younger. The slogan for it is 'love the skin you're in' yet the music playing throughout is 'Tainted Love' which seems utterly the wrong choice.

Oh and that Splenda sugar-free cooking woman with the mother who can still eat three pancakes bugs the hell out of me. Nothing to do with advertisers losing the plot but I just can't stand it!
