People slag them off till the Cows come home on here but IMO Plusnet are cheap enough, I'm considering going with their 2 Mb option for £14.99 a month with a 1 Gig download limit when my Wanadoo 12 months runs out in a couple of weeks.

Plusnet (http://www.plus.net)

Or compare up to 6 at a time at dslguide (http://dslguide.org/isps/compare.asp) & choose for yourself...

Pipex do wireless broadband which is quite good, but be warned it's expensive at £46 a month

I was on them prior to going on Wanadoo cos at the time when I signed up they'd got an offer on of half price subscriptions, and they were the only broadband provider that served this far up in Stannington at the time, surprising given that their exchange is in Shiregreen and all the others are at Wadsley Bridge and couldn't give me broadband

I doubt you'd get wireless for £20 tbh... Although Wanadoo are offering up to 8 Mb broadband if you can get it for £14.99 a month.

I'm on Wanadoo at the moment but unfortunately because we're so far away from the Wadsley Bridge exchange, being up the top end of Stannington, they can't give us anything better than a 512k connection.. :(

I'm looking into moving to Plusnet in a few weeks when my 12 month Wanadoo commitment expires, last time I checked I could get 2 Mb off them for £15 a month, which is a whole 3 quid a month cheaper than what I'm paying Wanadoo for 512k at the moment.

Yeah yeah I know, it's Plusnet, according to some they're the Sheffield equivalent of AOhell but they're cheap and have won awards for service according to their site so yeh.
