View Full Version : Can I get wedding cars from funeral directors? carebear 20-10-2005, 20:46 Some one was talking about getting wedding cars from funeral directors and I can't find the thread - so I'll start another...anyone any ideas?! Plain Talker 20-10-2005, 20:52 Yes, quite a few funeral director companies do wedding hire as a side line, (John Fairest, at wadsley bridge for eg). There's also a wedding car hire place off Shoreham Street (Queens Road end), and one in Ashley Rodgers' tailors at Manor Top, just near becketts' chippy. PT sassy_1 20-10-2005, 21:39 I used John Fairest cars for my wedding and the service was excellent medusa 20-10-2005, 21:43 Me too- I was the one that commented on it in the initial thread- I can't remember where it was either. John Fairest were lovely, and have the advantage that their limos are sort of a pewter colour rather than black. Cost wise, getting a limo that normally does funerals costs less than half the cost of getting a limo that normally does weddings. They even deck them out in flowers for you. the_rudeboy 20-10-2005, 21:51 We used funeral directors for our cars because we didn't want white cars. Used B & C on Suffolk Rd.....if I remember correctly the cars were a very dark green. saxon51 20-10-2005, 21:54 Steer clear of the estate though, there are no seats in the back. the_rudeboy 20-10-2005, 21:57 Originally posted by saxon51 Steer clear of the estate though, there are no seats in the back. PMSL They might pop you a mattress in though for on the way back from the church......:heyhey: CATx 20-10-2005, 22:25 got my wedding cars from john heaths, they were green and loads cheaper than normal wedding cars peakma 20-10-2005, 23:42 My sister used to live on cruise road in Fulwood/Nether green .There was a guy with a couple of lovely old wedding cars. .Cruise rd is just on the right before the traffic lights if you are going up oakbrook rd, the cars live on the right just around the corner as you turn into the road, you'd probably see them.I don't know if thats any use but I thought I'd tell you anyway! coopster1974 21-10-2005, 05:24 We used the funeral place at Pitsmoor, cant remember the name but we had two vintage Daimlers in black and green, very classy looking for about £300 I think it was. |
