Does anyone know where I can buy an i-cord machine in the UK? I've only found USA supplier so far.

I'm not sure what you are wanting it for but you can get the same effect my getting a french knitting implement which you can get at all good knitting stores (the wool baa) and you don't need to spend a fortune on something that from what reviews that I have read, seems to be quite flimsy and expensive (£10 excluding P&P).

There is also this, it might be slower but it does the job:

Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for :)

I've got one so I know that you need to search for "Prym knitting mill". There's a stockist here (http://www.knitting-supplies-store.co.uk/index.php/prym-knitting-mill.html?___store=knitting_eng&___store=knitting_eng) and one on ebay here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Prym-Hand-Knitting-Mill-Machine-French-Knitter-Cord_W0QQitemZ300468315327QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=15 7609243988&rvr_id=157609243988&cguid=6c04ab961270a0e203a46a54ff172c8d)

PS don't go for the Maxi mill, that's a different beast that knits hats.

Thanks Wool4brains, that's exactly what I want. I know in America it is made by Bond the old knitting machine people. I didn't realise the Prym made them. The reason I wanted one of these and not the knitting "dolly" is that I need to knit i-cord lengths as I want to knit and felt handbags for Christmas prezzies this year (for the women obviously!). A knitting 'dolly' would take far too long whereas the machine does the job in 10-15 minutes.

I bought it because I needed 15 yards of i cord for a hat and I couldn't face knitting it on needles. Not only did it knit up in no time at all but I I had my husband and my son falling over themselves to knit it for me. I've not used it much since because it really needs yarn thicker than sock yarn and that's usually what I'm wanting to use it with (edging on baby jackets and such like). The first inch or so is fiddly but after that it just depends how fast you can turn the handle.
