To celebrate a friends birthday we are organising a Sheffield A-Z pub crawl (half a pint in each).
Unfortunately there are some letters which are difficult to cover...X,Z to name but 2.
Please name a pub that you would recommend a visit to and hopefully I can get most if not all the letters covered in some way (licensed venues count).

Have to point out Xes is a gay pub, and doesnt open until 8.30 onwards, and its quite a journey from city centre.

Hopefully this website might help

I think you may have to cheat and visit the Fox & Duck and the Fitzooth & Firkin.

Is it still called Zero?? I thought it may have changed.
I could break my arm, smuggle in a tinnie and sup it whilst having an X-ray

done a few of these before (routes below). not exactly text book - repeated a few letters & 80s was always the X. don't even try doing it in order. always fancied an 'ultimate ABC' - a drink beginning with same letter but,..well...think about it!

'intention' was to have halves but somehow you think "well, it'll be OK to have a couple of pints & a few bottles to start off" and then you just don't bother with it. If you're going from the Boro, get Q done & dusted first with Queens Ground. Good luck!

That was recently swept away under the new alignment of Shalesmoor junction, I'm afraid. :(

It is possible to do it order - we did it the summer before last. Started at the Alexandra at 11am and finished at Zero about 10pm. Quality quality day.

I could dig the T shirt out to see what the other pubs were...

X was club Xes.
