Power has just come back on here in Grenoside.

After over an hour of reading by candle-light and feeling like a 17th Century scholar, I started boiling a pan of water for my cup of coffee. The water hadn't even started to simmer when all the lights came back on, but I'd started, so I was damn well going to finish!

Tastes better this way anyway.

What do you most like to do during power cuts? (Keep it clean!)

My mums had power cut near wheta. First bout 8.30 for half an hour then about 10 mins after it had been back on it went off again for 5 mins. All street lights were out too. Im near Chaucer and been fine all night for me.

Yes ecclesfield power just pop back on now.We did get power on but for an hour our lights was very very dim and would not even power up the tv or security lights out side.I know some parts of eccelsfield and some of parsoncross heading up tunwell area (as family live there) had problems but we had problems now for past few days with power cuts in eccelsfield i dont know about p-cross if they had same over past few days.

We were off just off Tunwell twice.
Had no candles & torch, partner working away.
Had to use my flash on my mobile phone camera for light for me & my 7 year old daughter.
