People who get tv via Freeview need to do a rescan as a lot of the channel numbers have now changed, along with a place holder for ITV4 on CH 30.

hello,
i have freeview, the box rescanned itself about a week ago and a new channel came up labelled ITV 4. but when i trie to watch it it just says no signal. i was wondering if it says no signal because i cant receive it or if its because it hasnt launched yet.

Channel 4 for sheep owners and TeleG for Haggis-munchers :P

Full lineup here :

You can tell if box needs a rescan if BBC24 is on channel 40 - it should now be on 80...

EDIT : Just seen this in the FAQ - thought i better post it here in case anyone is affected. Hope not too many people lose their stuff :suspect:

I can no longer get any radio stations, Teletext or BBCi / BBC's text services. Why is this?/ I've re-scanned my box but the numbers don't seem to be appearing in the correct order. Why?

The current channel numbering is unable to cope with the growing number of channels on the platform. Consequently we have had to introduce 3 digit channel numbers. Unfortunately there is a small number of legacy boxes that are unable to accommodate 3 digit channel numbers, should you have any queries on how your digital box or digital TV handles the new channel numbers you should refer to the manufacturer.
