Hello to all of you. The calendar advances forward remorselessly and we discover that, lo, another two months have passed. This means it’s time for another Pisco Presents. This time the programme is entitled ‘Grimm Tales’, the theme and distractions loosely based around the stories from Jacob and Wilhem Grimm’s Household Tales. Three super fantastic bands as follows:

The Jesus Loves Heroin Band

Loveable surf tinged garage misfits. Organ drenched, raucous and fuzzy. Like Gram Parsons fighting The Seeds with knives while Ennio Morricone attempts to split them up yelling ‘It’s not worth it lads!’ (or the Italian equivalent). Extremely recommended.

The Letter

The Letter have manfully stepped into the breach to complete this triumvirate of musical loveliness. You may well be aware of their own particular brand of expansive, noisy and very melodic music, but if you are not, then let me tell you that they play their own particular brand of expansive, noisy and very melodic music. Hope that's cleared it up. They're ace and we're glad to have them on board.

The Three Musky Beards

Debut show from this mysterious duo, moonlighting from their usual roles in other musical endeavours. I am told, and I quote “It's acoustic blatherings, finger picking finesses - badder than your grandma! xx”. Intriguing.

The Grapes. Friday 22nd October. £3.50 on the door.
