Parcelforce are so rubbish - i've been trying to get a parcel redelivered for ages. Tried their website to arrange it, to find it didn't work on safari, or mac, finally worked on pc at work, only to find the form didn't send when i clicked submit!

So rang them instead - really annoying 'voice recognition' recorded bloke who says you can talk to him in your normal voice...tho he can't understand you & tries to guess at what you say, then hangs up on you oh grrrrrr

Get transfered to an operator & all i've done is listen to music... whilst they plug their services...not really making me want to send or receive anything by them ever again...

My parcel is going to be sent back to sender in 5 days...its been 4, and so far i can't even speak to the depot.
Help!

My flatmate missed a Parcelforce delivery twice in a row because we both work in the daytime. He then rang them up and arranged for them to deliver it to his workplace at Meadowhall. He said it took a fair amount of queuing on the phone, but they did deliver it to his workplace as agreed. :)

did he have to pay a fee?

Ring 08708 501150 and when it says choose one of the following three options hit a high number (7,8, or 9 I think).

This takes you direct to a member of their customer services team.

I'm not 100%, but I don't think that he did.

They are absolutely pathetic. I've spent 2 hours trying to track a consignment from Germany. They have lost one of the parcels - can't search on their systems for a reference number generated by their own import system, can;t contact a local depot 'because they probably can't help', and can't do a postcode search because there are too many orders on their system.
Absolute disgrace - and caused me a huge headache and my company one hell of a lot of money,.

yeah red wizard i agree - waste of time. What's the point of having a telephone system if you never get to speak to anyone! They at least should have the "you are 5th in the Q" or something, or no, actually have people to answer the dam phones.

Why do postal companies deliver in the day anyway - don't you reckon by now someone would be delivering after 6pm?! It says on the parcel force website that if you are not in, they automatically try redelivering it the next day - without telling you lol - so how are you supposed to know to be in....

To be fair to them, they normally 'card' you, to tell you they're going to try again - and this should have contact details (I'm talking generally, not re. parcelforce).

Parcelforce now can't help because their website is down, and that is the only way they can access their systems!

And you can jump the queue by following by post above. I've got through in less than 10 seconds each time.

Hows this to cheer you up;

I booked a holiday a few years ago to Turkey, just me and a mate for a quite week away with a bit of sun. I realised a few days before I left that my passport was in Devon with my parents. No problem I though, I was spending the weekend in Liverpool with my mate to do a bit of holiday shopping before we flew out early on the sunday morning, I'll get it sent there I thought. Not that easy.

My mum sent the passport by guaranteed next day delivery with parcelforce to scouse land. £42 with insurance!!! Ouch I, the holiday was only worth £250 itself but I needed my passport so off it went.

The package was supposed to arrive Sat morning, I went out shopping and came back around 1 o'clock with sun cream, holiday books and new swimmers in tow. By 2pm the passport hadn't arrived, I'm sure you know where we're going now, so I gave parcelforce (parcel'farce') a call. Guess what? All offices shut at 12 on Saturdays, there was no one to speak to and I couldnt find out where my passport was!

So, after many phone calls and swear words I drove my mate to Manchester airport and put him on the plane by himself. Not only was my holiday messed up he ended spending a week by himself in a dodgy 2* Turkish hole called Hotel Sinbad. I carried on and came back to shef to sulk.

To add to my mood and the rapid loss of my holiday spirit the parcelfarce insurance (which I had paid 42 quid for) wouldnt cover consequential loss and so the PF people refused to refund anything other than the initial £42. Bas%*£ds.

Oh yeah, eventually said item showed up on Tuesday afternoon!

As you were in Liverpool you should have gone and got a replacement passport from the office there :hihi:

Two years too late. Didnt even think of that at the time, was too busy raging.

Funnily enough I soon got over it. Came home and got on with stuff, my mate however who was stuck in Turkey by himself still bangs on about it.

As I was driving home after leaving the airport I turned the radio up, the snake was clear and there were great tunes on the radio. As I came out of Glossop up onto the snake, where the radio normally cuts out, the signal seemed to get stronger! I sang the tunes at the top of my voice and watched the sun rise over Sheffield.

It was a memorable journey.

Ahhh ParcelFarce,,,theres a subject close to my heart,in short they are crap,,,,you wouldnt want to see what goes off in one of their Depots,,trust me.

Make the Dispatches prog about the mail look like snow white.

Parcels dont get delivered cos the drivers cant be arsed to,if you are unlucky enough to live somewhere the drivers dont want to go,,,,,,need I say more.

Damaged parcels, hmmmmm better ask the driver about that one.

I take some of it back!

Just had a return call from somebody at one of their depots - who was perhaps one of the most efficient and polite people I have ever spoken to.

Problem solved, direct number to their depot, and they are bending over backwards to sort the problem out.

Still maintain that their call centre in the north east is absolutely shocking in terms of training/systems/attitude!!!!!!!!
