well think of it this way, if the crossover affects your patch as well, it's news. That's the way i saw it when i was on the course.
Make sure you do get LOADS of stories though. That was my mistake. And get in with Foster, he'll help you along if you ask.
Still, I always preferred broadcast, and that's what i do now!
