(How did that happen? I only ran away once?):o vidster 17-10-2005, 20:34 I ran away from home when i was younger. I planned it perfectly.... I was to sleep on the school roof and live off the packet of Ryvita i had bought (if mum could live off em, so could i). All went to plan until my older brother caught me after about an hour and gave me a kicking in :suspect: Maddy 17-10-2005, 20:36 Went visiting with a friend and we fell out so I decided to walk home. No idea where I was at the time (we were in Norfolk Park) and I lived in Westfield. It took me 3 hours to get home (i was 8 so legs were much shorter). Arrived home to find police vans on the doorstep and my poor mother (who'd been aged another 5 years - shes 367 now you know) was going frantic. Didn't do thats agian...... Kirsty_87 17-10-2005, 20:36 I can recall running away from home once, think it was because my dad gave my brother and sister a kitkat but I wasnt allowed one... i ran up to my grandma's (who lived on the next road up) and i was crying saying that dad didnt love me anymore... to this day i still havent received that kitkat :( melthebell 17-10-2005, 20:37 when i was about 7 me and my sister packed our bags and left got to the bottom of the street then went back :P saxon51 17-10-2005, 20:41 Originally posted by Kirsty_87 I can recall running away from home once, think it was because my dad gave my brother and sister a kitkat but I wasnt allowed one... i ran up to my grandma's (who lived on the next road up) and i was crying saying that dad didnt love me anymore... to this day i still havent received that kitkat :( Maybe if you go home now you'll get your Kit Kat kirsty. Kirsty_87 17-10-2005, 20:42 Originally posted by saxon51 Maybe if you go home now you'll get your Kit Kat kirsty. I am home... oh yeah, i didnt finish it did i? Once I slept in the bus shelter all night (bit embarassing when people turned up for their buses for work in the morning) Another time I left quite late at night, walked around all night, couldn't find anywhere to stay so ended up walking home early in the morning. Just as I was almost home a police car stopped to ask if I was ok - shame the other police cars that passed me during the night never stopped to ask ... Another time I left I managed to get a room in a hostel, but I was dragged back home the next day ... perhaps I should add - I wasn't a child, I was 21 and married to first (now ex) hubby :| pauline 17-10-2005, 22:29 i did when i was 12 lol,i feel like running away now,but as im on my own doesnt seem much point :( dieselbabe 17-10-2005, 22:34 Yes when i did when i was 15ys old went to live with my bf at the time. SWFC00 17-10-2005, 23:19 When I was about 8ish, I took my sleeping bag & a packet of Bourbon biscuits up onto our old Air-raid shelter. I felt like I was in the Famous Five!! I came down after a few hours.... It was raining & I think Bullseye was on  A few months later, me and the missus (also 8ish) decided to run away together.... You would have thought I'd have learnt, but oh no. Back up onto the Air-raid shelter :D Needless to say the relationship never worked out! :hihi: Hels 18-10-2005, 00:08 When I was a wee bairn, I always had my duffle bag packed - just in case .... I remember it was maroon with a cream trim ... Anyway, apart from other bits and pieces I had my most prized posession in there - big doll. Related to another thread, but, as kids we were always taught how to escape in case of fire - and I always made sure big doll was at the side of me so that I could make sure she was safe too ... :D Big doll still lives with me and has her own chair in one of the spare rooms .... ahhhh |
