Can somebody please reassure me and confirm that the slap-dash mass tarmac area outside of the front of renovated city hall is _not_ the finished article?

I certainly hope not, as at the moment it looks bl**dy awful IMHO!

I know it's not on the level, so tricky to pave etc. - but surely they can do better than what's currently down there?

Can't believe they've spent all that cash on doing up the area - only to spoil it with such a horrid front. Do anybody know if that's "it" - or is there still work to be done?

On a similar subject - not convinced by the fountains either - and they *are* finished LOL. Probably will look "nice" in the evenings though I guess.
