That ran through my head when I watched the first miners come up in the early hours, and I burst into tears but I'm not going into why. :(

Pretty much the same people who were there for me when I woke up in intensive care I imagine (which would be pretty much my whole family).

Oh sorry, I didn't mean to upset anyone.........just that it made me very emotional too......my greeters are a completely different bunch to who they would've been a couple of years ago. Which is both a good and a bad thing.

That said I'd expect my credit card provider and the local off lisence owner to be ampongst those who'd missed me the most!

My OH with a packet of fags and a coffee if he knows whats good for him, Dozy to push me back down the mine, Mort just because she's dead nosy, several family members to chastise me for going down there in the first place and probably my cat to remind me of why I got myself stuck down there in the first place.:hihi:

Oh that's OK. It's bittersweet, not traumatising. The events in Chile have been emotional for anyone watching, I imagine, and things like this touch on feelings that are universal, which is why the world is watching at all. :)

I heard on the radio that this actually may have happened! They suggested that a miner's wife and his mistress would be in the welcoming group.

Its been on the radio this afternoon that one of the minors is to be met by his wife AND his mistress when he comes out . OUCH .

I doubt it.

One of the side effects of being in 90% humidity and extreme heat for so long is thrush. They will all have extremely sore bits by now.
