Broomhall Visual Improvement Workshops
As part of our Broomhall Visual Improvement project Art in the Park are working over the next three months to create permanent banners, street furniture, welcome markers and notice boards for the Broomhall area. These will be designed and created in collaboration with community groups and our professional artists; we are targeting a range of groups that operate in the area including youth clubs, faith groups and tenants and residents associations. There will also be two community focused open access mapping and design workshops for anyone from the local area to attend and have their say:
Thursday 28th October 4-7pm, at Broomhall Centre, Broomspring Lane, S10 2FD (Mapping Workshop)
Monday 1st November, 6-8pm, at Sunny Bank Meeting Rooms, William Street, S10 2DF (Design Workshop)
Come along and show your support for your local community!
In addition, there will be an exhibition of all the community designs in December and an arts walk to encourage the community to come and see the commissioned pieces. For more information please visit our website at www.artinthepark.org.uk
See you there :)
