Why do people feel the need to keep walking back and forward when the gig is on? Annoys me no end. Especially small girls who don't have the manners to apologise or say "excuse me" and just barge past.

How about blokes who feel the need to protect their girlfriends and growl threateningly if you so much as brush against them. Usual stance is the girl in front, bloke behind arms wrapped firmly round her waist. If they are that delicate either stand at the back or stay at home.

Then there are the snoggers.......find an exellent spot then stand if front of you and spend the whole gig snogging. Its like a car crash you can't help but look, no matter how much you want to turn away. Why waste money on a ticket. Put the CD on, turn the lights out and snog at home.

Then there's the 7 foot guy who always stands in front of me.

I know exactly what you mean! Were you by any chance in the back part at the Arctic Monkeys gig last night then? I was getting ready to punch the next person who nearly took my legs from under me by trying to climb through those bloody barriers....

You lot are all wimps.

I was at supergrass last night and spent most of the gig in the moshpit right at the front, today I have a bad leg and bruises all over my body and sore ribs. And it was one of the best gigs i've been to and totally full, in one of the best venues in the country.

How can you stand at the back and complain about people walking around you, and talking. If you really want to enjoy it push to the front.

Going to gigs is about rough and tumble..

sorry just thought of another......big hairy blokes that mosh down the front till they are soaked with perspiration, then move back find the spot next to me then take their shirts off and swing their hair about, so that I get covered in their sweat.

YUM........rock sweat in the eye.......

I stood at the back because I'm 4ft 11" tall and couldn't see jack if I was in the main part, and I've been really hurt at standing gigs in the past. In the Plug, the back part is raised up and therefore I could actually see the band.

And it doesn't matter where you are - people chatting away while the band are playing and pushing past you is still rude and annoying. I'm sure I've come home with just as many bruises as you - just didn't have as much fun getting them!

ha, yeh I was. were you sat on the barrier?

I was particularly pleased when after standing in the same place for around 1 hr some lad decides to stand next to me and just lean into me really badly. After a stern look and a few elbows he decided to place his girlfriend there as well

I don't go to the front as I'm 6'7 and people just moan about "why are you at the front, you should be at the back. you're too tall..." repeatdly and people think that I was put upon this earth to give them a bump up or piggy back.

I don't mind people going from mosh pit to back or vice versa. It is the continual walking across to go to the bar and then expect to go back into a crowd where there is no room. If you want to keep going to the loo/bar then stand right at the back and stay there. It is worse than being at a football match.

At the Editors gig the same girl pushed past me over 20 times. bloody annoying

oooooo the back and forers, usually young girls who not only have to walk back and fore but also have to hold their mates hands in a long chain and huff if you won't move, or make them let go.........

No way - I'm so short I wouldn't have even been able to get my legs over it! I was stood at the barrier at the left hand side "window" of the back part. It was still a great gig - didn't let the shovers ruin it for me!

Or almost as annoying, the people who insist on videoing the gig on their mobile, or the people who TALK on their mobile between songs.

AAAARRRGHHHH! Mobiles and gigs never mix.

how can you mosh to supergrass?? thats soooo bewildering. its like moshing to pulp. (no pun intended)

ad after a certian age you really cant be in the pit without looking like a complete and utter fool. plus the SOUND is better at the back.

Talking about the Arctic Monkeys last night - I really never thought I would be at a gig where about 70% of the crowd were wearing gold chains and singing "Let's go fcking mental" and loads of football songs. I just didn't understand. How many people were facing away from the stage? Why would you do that? Oh and the phone thing. That is so annoying.

im not very tall and i always try to get near the front early and keep my position, so i hate the "pushers", they always use the excuse "my mates up there and i need to find him" i went to see bloc party at the octagon last wednesday and a really tall guy pushed in and was stood in front of me for nearly the whole gig! and if ur gunna film it on ur fone stand at the back and do it!

I cant believe what im reading!

I think if you go to a gig then all the pushing/shoving/dancing/moshing is all part and parcel of the experience and fun. By a few of the replies on here then i might have upset a few people in my time... ooops.

that is all fine at the front. that's what it is for. But not at the back.

I went to tuesday club the other week and managed to get one back from the stage for fingathing. i was geting into it like everyone else and bouncing, but the lad in front of me kept screaming at me because i was knocking into him! I told him people were pushing into me but he kept saying dont touch me this is my space????

then he started elbowing me in the ribs!!! I was hardly touching him but he seemed to think he could be on the front row of a gig and not have anyone slightly touch him???

I was getting shoved into him by the people behind me but he made the mistake of turning around to his girlfriend to moan about people leaning on him and he left a small gap (BIG MISTAKE), which i slid into and with a bit of gentle nudging stood besid him.

His girlfriend went ape and started saying how dare i make him move??? I still have her scratch marks down my arm but i just ignored her and enjoyed the gig.

About 10 minutes later 5 bouncers came over and asked me to come out with them, so out i went losing me front row place, but once i explained it they apolagised and let me back in.

Afterwards I was pretty ****** off that arses act like that and tainted the gig for me. I wish I could have seen them at the front row of a Foo Fighters or Libertines gig...

sorry just had to get that off my chest.
