View Full Version : Where can I find out about Christmas Fayres?
lizzmobile 15-10-2005, 00:45 I always end up driving past noticeboards saying "Christmas Fayre - today! and always en dup missing them. I love them and would like to take my children to some. Don't mind if they are in churches, schools, anywhere. Does anybody know of any being planned?
Thanks in advance,
Lizzmo'
Sheffield Cats Shelter is an Autumn Fayre this year- 5th November, at St Thomas's on Crookes. Should be good (and I've even been roped in to volunteer!).

As for advertising, I think it comes down to word of mouth and lots of flyers and posters.
BoroughGal 15-10-2005, 01:46 I thought the title said "where can I find Christmas Fairies"!!!
There's a craft fair at High Storrs School today 10-2. sorry if this is too short notice.

NicholasB 15-10-2005, 18:04 The Hillsborough Christmas Festival will be on Sunday 11th December in Hillsborough Park. There will be a Farmers / Arts & Crafts Market with a variety of pressie options available. Also a real ale (and mulled wine!) bar, santas grotto, circus skills, carol singing, hands-on activities for the kids, maybe an artist demonstration or two. 11.00 to 4.00 in the Courtyard (behind the library). Car Park is off Parkside Road. See you there.

We drove through Woodhouse Village on the way home tonight - at 7pm, to see a market in full swing, with what looked like carol singers and some dancing going on :suspect:
 why did they keep that one so quiet?
Anybody know if it's on again tomorrow? :(

More importantly, this weekend 3/12 4/12 there is the Kelham Island Christmas Fayre on and that is great, we went last year and will be going this weekend if all things permit.
must agree with the last poster the Kelham Island one suppose to be good.
My parents swear by it and take my son there every year.
While i have a break.
me and my dad are going to Kelham Island tomorrow - not sure about the times but presumably the same as Abbeydale?
