Illegal organ trade, legalize it or ban it?

OK - for clarity.

I am refering to live organs taken for money.

When I say ban it - I meant, keep it banned, meaning that they are removed probably by unqualified people under poor conditions.

What are the arguments for and against?

I'd vote 'yes' for making organ donation obligatory unless you opted out, rather than the system we have now where you have to opt in.

The question is "What should be done about illegal organ trade?" and one of the options is "Ban it". How can you ban something that's illegal? Do you mean make it legal?

What is the definition of illegal organ trade? Are we talking about taking dead patients organs without owners consent?
