Megell, Try to get hold of Sheffield Smooth Guide, published by MIND Sheffield. That may point you in direction that would help you.

Good morning!!

I have an 8 year old son who has ADHD plus lots of other stuff so know what it's like!!

I go to the Ray of Hope support group in Hillsborough. It meets on the second Tuesday of every month (so you've just missed it!) at the Eskdale Community Centre, near the Sheffield Wednesday ground. It's a group for parents of children with any type of special need or challenging behaviour. Parents have children with ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Aspergers Syndrome, Tourette Syndrome etc. We all understand how tough life can be with a special child so there are plenty of ears to bend and shoulders to cry on!!

The group has various speakers attend on all sorts of relavant subjects and they also organise trips for the families during the summer holidays etc.

The group has kept me sane over the last few months!!

if you want any more info or just a sympathetic ear, feel free to PM me.
