I have a reet problem with the kitchener stitch, I'm sure it's only a mental block on my part, I'm sure I will get it soon, but in the mean time there is this (http://knitting.craftgossip.com/new-knit-along-pretty-pedicure-socks/2010/09/27/) a pair of pedicure socks, you may laugh but I'm sure it will save a lot of headache for those struggling ;)

It takes a few goes, and I did have to read the instructions once or twice (maybe more.....), before I was able to graft without looking. It's all good clean fun - give it another try :D

I have to laugh every time it's called Kitchener because the first thing that I think of is a Calypso artist called Lord Kitchener not the other guy :)

It just takes practise - I use a 'song' to remember how to do it. You could ask Wheezy for the copius instructions I wrote out for her :) I will be out of commission again for 2 months very soon doing my final final teaching placement so if you need help ask quickly.

Those instructions (corrections an alll........:suspect: ;)) are staying where they are! In the back of my book. Just in case I lose my memory. You could always type them out lisaH :help: Or I could, when I've got a minute.........:D

But they are in your book - and my memory isn't like it used to be LOL. Have you got a scanner?

These instructions are as I have them in my notes. Anything that is unclear, please just ask......preferably lisaH :hihi:

Cut about 20cm tail

To set up

Purl into front (leave on needle)
Knit into back (leave on needle)

*Front needle - knit into first stitch and take off the needle (knit on, purl off). Purl into the next stitch (leaving it on the needle).

Back needle - Purl into the first stitch and take off the needle (purl off, knit on). Knit into the next stitch (leaving it on the needle)*

Repeat between * and * until 1 stitch remains on each needle then - Knit into stitch on front needle and take off the needle. Purl into stitch on back needle and take off needle. Pull yarn through and secure.
