Following the success of the film screenings at the Sheffield Cathedral Arts Festival over the last two years, we are looking at having some family film screenings in the Nave of the Cathedral during the Christmas holidays.

Please let us know which films you might want to see.

Just a quick note- in my earlier post i had put that the film would be shown in colour, that was a mistake, it will actually be shown in its true form of the classic Black and White!!

Apologies for any disappointment.

Tickets will go on sale from the Cathedral Reception on Monday 6th December and will also be available to buy on the door.

See you soon

Just a reminder about the film screening next week.

For a completely unique cinematic experience, showing for one night only, a true Christmas black and white classic film of “It’s a Wonderful Life”, set against the backdrop of Sheffield Cathedral. The enchantment of the Cathedral will only add to the magic of this 'wonderful' film. The film will be shown using old fashioned reel projectors that have to be changed part way through the film, during which time festive refreshments will be available to purchase.
This premier event will be showcasing on Thursday 16 December, doors open at 7pm with the showing starting at 7:30pm.
Tickets are £5 each (£4 for concessions) and include a complimentary mince pie. Tickets can be purchased on the door and are also available from the Cathedral Reception from Monday 6 December.

If you only see one Christmas film this festive season, make sure you don’t miss ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’!

All welcome!
