I am looking to move in sheffield and have about £65000 to spend. One of the areas we are looking at is westfield and S20 in general because of the tram links (no car). But I don't know a lot about the area. Anybody care to fill me in, whats it like, are there good or bad areas or would my money be spent better elsewhere.
Help!!!
Last time someone asked, it got mixed reviews:

Hi. I have lived on Westfield (Eastcroft area) for the last four years. In that time i have had no problems what so ever. Bought my house for £27.000 back in 2000 think they are going for £60.000 now, so im not complaining!
I think its better to buy a house that isnt near the shops/flats.
You said you were thinking of southall, that would be a good buy as in the national press a few months ago it was rated as one of the most underpriced areas to buy in,considering the good transport links, shops and schools.

I'm on Hartland Avenue. Photo on the star website http://www.sheffieldtoday.net/ViewArticle.aspx?SectionID=58&ArticleID=672327 is taken from just outside The Belfry pub which is just down the road from me :P
I used to go in the Belfry quite often, but not been in since last summer. Tend to go in the Gypsy queen nowadays.
