View Full Version : McDonalds Dilemma
I have a bit of a dilema,if you have been to Drive in Macdonalds for your food,(use the term food loosly)you get home with it.
To your suprise, there is loads more than you ordered, and far better stuff(if that is possible) in the bag.
Do you:
A/ Go back to rectfy the order ?
B/ Ring and point out the mistake ?
C/Consume the food safe in the knowledge that the guy that served you, will have had a kicking fron the Chav in the Nova behind you for getting it wrong.
mr craig 24-01-2004, 18:48 C/ Do you actually think McD's cares aout loosing a few burgers, the person who's order you got would have been sorted anyway if they would have complained.
D/ If Macdonalds arent that bothered about it,demand all future meals for free.
mr craig 24-01-2004, 19:21 E/ you should, its about all there worth
Eat them - some people on here will call it theft and they are right.
However, consider this.
Will they drive round to your house with the correct items or pick up the goods?
No.
Is it worth your time and cost of fuel to do them a favour by returning the items?
No.
Even if you did the good deed and drive round, they would put it in the bin because they do not know if you had your grubby hand over them.
So, your choices are
A) drive back and let them put it in the bin
B) or munch em
Its a bigger crime to put them in the bin than to eat them - problem solved .
By the time you got it back it would be cold anyway. I suppose you could ring them up and tell them they'd made a mistake, but I doubt anything would be achieved.

Actually ... I think it's more of a cime (against your body) to eat a McD's than to bin one ...
Do nothing, they'd only throw it away due to H&S laws or tell you it doesnt matter
fnkysknky 25-01-2004, 00:01 Eat it - goes towards making up for all the times they've given people less than they ordered - useless ****ers.
Sam Miguel 25-01-2004, 12:15 I agree, just eat it with a smile on your face. They wouldn't be interested if you phoned then to tell them.
Then again, I suppose you could eat it and then phone up.
I doubt very much whether they'd send someone round to force their fingers down your throat in an effort to retrieve what righfully was theirs.
Just gerrit dahn thi an' stoop werryin' lad! :lol:lol:
*says he who could probably whittle for England*
F/ If you know somone who serves there you get free food anway. Scoff the lot!
A while ago i went in to McDonalds oredered three meals and walked out. I realsied when i got home that they had forgotten to ask me for any money. We ate, and felt happy that it was for free. nice!
Classic Rock 26-01-2004, 12:52 Eat it, or bin it. McDonalds food is lousey anyway plus they aren't kind to the environment.
Throw it all in the bin then go out and buy yourself some nice fish and chips.

Each to their own. I don't think they're as bad as they used to be as far as the environment goes.
Still got a dilemma? Have a good read at this site:
http://www.mcspotlight.org/case/
From the front page:
The McLibel Trial is the infamous British court case between McDonald's and a postman & a gardener from London (Helen Steel and Dave Morris). It ran for two and a half years and became the longest ever English trial. The Judge delivered his verdict in June 1997.
The verdict was devastating for McDonald's. The judge ruled that they 'exploit children' with their advertising, produce 'misleading' advertising, are 'culpably responsible' for cruelty to animals, are 'antipathetic' to unionisation and pay their workers low wages.

I would eat the food then ring and complain that the guy is incompetent- but doing that compromises the possibility of you getting more food again
But if I didn’t like the type of burger he gave me I would have taken it back and said, "you have given me the wrong type of burger (pretending It was the one I paid for)"
It is their fault if they give you more than you deserve. The same question of morals was on another thread before about if a cash machine gave you £20 more than you asked for and it didn’t charge you what would you do??
It all depends on whether it works out good or bad for each individual person
Daveyboy 29-01-2004, 15:39 Depends did they give you any "chicken" stuff ? If they did get rid of it ASAP…...not sure what that stuff is but its not poultry!!!!
There was a big chap who worked at the archer road mc D only saw him once maybe they harvested him for "chicken" ????
:-?
