About Me:

I am a fully qualified Complementary Therapist
I.I.H.H.T I.I.H.H.T.Dip I.A.C.H.T M.I.C.H.T & REIKI MASTER
I have over 10 years experience in practice and I am a member of The Federation of Holistic Therapists and I carry full insurance. I was propositioned to co-write a book which is to be published in 2006.
Until recently I had an extremely stressful job working for the social services and worked part time as a Therapist. However, I was refusing new clients as I was fully booked only performing therapies part time. I have now decided to go full time as this is my true passion - hence I thought I would pop a posting on this forum.

I also teach in the field of therapy and I am a qualified Life Coach although I am not accepting any new clients for this area as I am fully booked.

I have a wonderful therapy room in my home although I am now offering a mobile service due to the fact that my Husband has commandeered it as his office for the next few months!

I am offering all therapies to LADIES ONLY as I have studied Women's health issues and have worked in this field for quite some time, thus I feel my skills are better suited to working with Women.

The following Therapies are available in The Sheffield area and INCLUDE my travel expenses and travel time.

I believe that complementary therapies SHOULD be available widely and as you will see my prices are extremely competitive. I also offer The Chi Machine experience with therapy - you'll wonder how you lived without it!

What now? That just reads 'bunkem, bunkem and more bunkem' to me.
My (hugely unpopular) theory is anyone who claims to have benefited from any of this type of nonsense, never really had anything wrong with them in the first place.

In all seriousness though, I just dont get it - what can you do that a real doctor cant?

It is of course each to their own and you are entitled to your beliefs, but obviously if you never have tried it how can you comment? Please get in touch for a free hour of aromatherapy massage, I'll be only too happy to oblige.

But in order to answer your question 'what can I do that a 'real' Doctor can't - (I don't really know if there are any 'pretend Doctors) but if your phrase of speech 'real' Doctor was a referral to my qualifications, then in answer - I don't profess to be a Doctor. And please, you could have answered your own question here - I am a Complementary Therapist, a Doctor is a Doctor - totally different a G.P 'Diagnoses' dis-ease relating to health and prescribes therapy or medicine. I am a COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIST who TREATS specific areas of health WITHOUT medicine - when did your Doctor last give YOU an aromatherapy body massage? Totally different profession to mine.
I would just like to add that I have 5 G.P's whom I treat on a weekly basis and 2 hospital Surgeon's, plus the fact that 50% of my clients are referrals from Doctors Surgeries so I must be doing my job which I have qualified for very well!

I am sad to read you say that 'anyone who has benefitted from complementary therapies can't have had anything wrong with then in the first place' as I treat Ladies with breast cancer (for free working for a charity) and my therapies beneift these Ladies greatly after the trauma and disturbance of chemo & radiation therapy, these Ladies would disagree with you greatly, and again, they can speak with experience.

Hope that's answered your question and please, don't knock complementary therapy unless you have tried it - I am offering a free treatment so please do get in touch. Maybe you have had a bad experience and this is the only way to express your anger and frustration?
