View Full Version : Mmmmm.......Chocolate Fountain
Have you ever been to a wedding or party where they've hired one of those chocolate fountains? You know - the ones with a constant waterfall of liquid chocolate that you dip fruit, sweets and marshmallows in?
I'm thinking of buying a small one for a family party; are they as good as they look?
Hmmm that sounds yummy.. think I would find it very hard not to just stick my whole head in :)

No, not the chocolate fountain frippery, the item right at the bottom of the page at only £14.95... make her Xmas one to remember... Even if it IS probably the last one that you'll spend together! ;)

Emilychee 10-10-2005, 13:30 They are GREAT! went to this function thingy at the Rutland Hotel with work and they had one. They had a white chocolate and a milk choc one, i must've had about 10 choc strawberries!!
A friend of mine had a chocolate fountain instead of a cake at her wedding earlier this year.
It looked brilliant and tasted ... fabulicious ... mmmmmm
My friend hired it and the lady who set it all up also stayed with it and kept replenishing the supply of fresh fruit and lots of other sweet things (marshmallows, mini doughnuts etc) throughout the evening.
The only problem was getting anywhere near the damn thing ... once people had a taste you couldn't shift them from it!

MysTique 12-10-2005, 19:10 Mmmmm .... I feel a new kind of meet coming up.
Hire a fountain - of course the biggest one possible - then all bring along the 'dips'- strawberries, marshmallows etc.
On second thoughts sod the dips, just bring a pint pot.

thomsongirl 12-10-2005, 22:18 That was the second thing I booked for my wedding! I have my priorities right. :-)
I hardly got near to mine at my wedding reception, but I was told it was really good, kids loved it and so did the adults.

Lindseyw 03-11-2005, 14:41 URGH - the thought of dipping where everyone else has dipped is rather disgusting !!
you can get them from John Lewis.
we bought a small machine for Halloween for maing toffee apples that actually made chocolate covered apples, kids loved it & more hygenic than sticking your fingers in a torrent of chocolate.
