View Full Version : Bus to Attercliffe from city centre
Number08 14-09-2010, 20:50 I'm very new to Sheffield. I have a few travel questions.
1. Does anyone know which bus number goes to altercliffe?
2. The cost of the bus fare?
3. The bus stop location for altercliffe. (I live in the town centre).
4. The cost of the fare for the tram to altercliffe.
mrplodge 14-09-2010, 20:59 do you mean attercliffe
Captain_Scarlet 14-09-2010, 21:02 This link should help you with your query:
Buses to Attercliffe (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=buses+in+sheffield&l=1)
I guess it depends where you're travelling from.
If you can get the tram I would have thought that would be the better option.
£3.50 a day or £12 a week.
diamondjack 14-09-2010, 21:41 depends whereabouts at Attercliffe you want to be - the number 52 is a good service but turns up Staniforth Road to Darnall. Fare about £1.30 one way
Try this for bus / tram times
http://www.transportdirect.info/Web2/Home.aspx?repeatingloop=Y
bus fares are not easy to find however if you are using more than one bus/ tram and more than operator then the day tripper at £5-80 is one option it covers all buses and trams and trains in south yorkshire and can be purchased on the bus

Sorry where does the £80 for a day ticket come into it ?
:) I think the £80 comes from it looking like £5-80 ( 5 to 80 ) rather than £5.80, bit cheeky
buses 6, 52 and 69 serve Attercliffe, as does the tram. See www.travelsouthyorkshire.com.
Bypassblade 17-07-2012, 18:11 Just asked our lass & if you get the 52 it's about £1.70 to Staniforth Rd from town, and if you get the 69 to say Arena is normally £2.10, as for some reason the Rotherham buses are dearer.
gaze1981 17-07-2012, 18:46 I'm sure in the last two years they've either managed to work out the bus or walked there and back a few thousand times.
I really wish new posters wouldn't drag up old threads just to comment on 'something' to get their post count up.

Maximum fare promotion on the 52.

To be honest, the search facility on SF is rubbish. Usually brings up threads which are very old and not everyone notices the date, particularly newbies.
Does it really matter anyway?
gaze1981 18-07-2012, 04:42 In the grand scheme of things, nothing really matters I guess.
Just annoying when old threads are dragged up for no good reason, especially if the information within it could be out of date.
Oldtrout 18-07-2012, 04:50 I think it's SF search facility which results in old threads being dragged up. As I said... it's pretty rubbish!
Ooops just noticed how old this thread is
