I was lucky enough to be invited to this function last night. The City Hall looks fantastic inside now, after £13 million spent on refurbishing it - it really is a building for the people of Sheffield to be proud of.

Toby Foster was the host last night and had me in stitches with his comedy, very funny mate! I've forgotten the name of the first comic who was on - he was funny, but Geoff Green was the act that had everyone rolling around.

All in all, an excellent night out and great to see the City Hall back to it's former glory.

I heard on the grapevine last night that the official opening is next Thursday - so all the works outside the Hall should be gone by then. There will be a procession of local schoolchildren and a concert - which will be aired on Calendar.

Was anyone else from the forum there?
