It gets pretty frothy if you half fill a bottle and give it a good shake.
Does the trick when making milkshakes for my daughter....

I'd just wipe it with a cloth

Have you got room at the back of a kitchen cupboard somewhere?

Use one of these

Hand Blender (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4202804.htm)

And just wash the head in soapy water when finished .... really lazy

The trick for really frothy milk is not to use skimmed milk. It works better with milk containing more fat or cream. I have one of those things that looks like a mini caffetierre and you pump it up and down to froth it up. But it wouldn't work with fat fee milk:confused:

The other trick is to warm it up in a pan first - cold milk doesn't froth too well.

You can get a kind of whisk specifically for this. Great for lazies as takes 20 seconds to froth up some milk by spinning between hands in the manner of Ray Mears starting a fire with sticks and moss. then just wants rinsing under hot water. Hates being washed in soap, which knackers the froth bubbles the next time you use it. Cost about a fiver from some home store or other. I fear Ikea sells one. Buon cappucino....

Last time I made someone a 'frothy coffee' I used a whisk and good ol' elbow grease.
