It works better with milk containing more fat or cream. I have one of those things that looks like a mini caffetierre and you pump it up and down to froth it up. But it wouldn't work with fat fee milk:confused: Twiglet 09-10-2005, 17:59 The other trick is to warm it up in a pan first - cold milk doesn't froth too well. ANGELUS 09-10-2005, 18:23 Me and the missus have one of the these from Argoos. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4225269.htm Very good at making frothy hot and cold drinkies! joyphil 09-10-2005, 19:11 You can get a kind of whisk specifically for this. Great for lazies as takes 20 seconds to froth up some milk by spinning between hands in the manner of Ray Mears starting a fire with sticks and moss. then just wants rinsing under hot water. Hates being washed in soap, which knackers the froth bubbles the next time you use it. Cost about a fiver from some home store or other. I fear Ikea sells one. Buon cappucino.... H_E_M 09-10-2005, 19:27 Yeah i always mess my mums up n she goes mad cos I don't clean it properly lol :) RPG 09-10-2005, 22:49 Last time I made someone a 'frothy coffee' I used a whisk and good ol' elbow grease. Strix 09-10-2005, 22:54 I just buy the self frothing sachets by Nescafe (http://www.nescafe.co.uk/products/at_home/cappuccino.asp) |
