View Full Version : Unofficial Forum Meet-Harlequin-Monday 20th September-7.30.
Swami Dhyan 12-09-2010, 11:07 Hi everybody, Time for this month's meet is nigh. The Harlequin can be found on Nursery Street next to the old Aizlewood's Mill. Buses 47/48/53 stop right outside and there is a vast free car park next door.
These meets are very newbie friendly and provide the opportunity to put faces to names and have a rollicking good time into the bargain..
This month's meet also has a secret theme. I will reveal the theme in midweek. :heyhey:

steelhead31 14-09-2010, 09:44 I'll try and make last orders, post hockey as normal.
Agent Orange 14-09-2010, 10:45 I will try and make it down for a few socialable pints.
Let me guess.... the theme is Vikings?

I can see them now, rowing up the river Don heading for the Harlequin with mayhem in mind... oh hang on that's the forummers as well, how will we tell the difference?
I shall of course be there to ensure good taste and decency prevail.
:)
Swami Dhyan 15-09-2010, 12:08 The list is up to date but is still a tad short. Come on people it's party time on Monday...sort out your glad rags and put on your happiest face and come and join us.
The theme is that I would like you to bring with you an object from your life that says something about you personally and tell the story of why to the rest of us.
Unofficial forum "Oscars" will be awarded for the best stories from each category. Funny...tragic...sporting...etc.
Me and Bloke are a maybe, we're off out for the day so it depends on what time we get home.
Chelle01 15-09-2010, 12:28 I'll be there! :)
Once again, I intend to attend!
Whether I actually manage to get there this month is an entirely different matter.
steelhead4 15-09-2010, 17:59 Is it duelling banjos time again ?
SpiderPete 15-09-2010, 18:10 Put me down as a "maybe", oh a object from my life.... well that will get me thinking. :)

I might unleash my banjo.
As for an item from my past. How about an ex girlfriend :D :D :D
six45ive 17-09-2010, 14:19 I'll try and make Monday but works pretty stressful atm so I'm pretty knackered in the evenings.

All the more reason to make the effort to join us. Laughter cures all known ills and if the banjos and guitars appear there should be an abundance...but please bring your own buns. :help::D
SpiderPete 19-09-2010, 14:25 I am slowly turning into a "Yes" :)

Swami Dhyan 20-09-2010, 23:47 A smallish gathering but nevertheless a truly rib cracking night tonight...thankyou to one and all. :hihi::hihi::hihi:
I've posted the pics on the book of face and they tell their own story...
We had it all...mini banjos, mini cats, wardrobes, little tinklers...et al.
Oh...and oranges...the fruit..and the agent!...fnaaaar!

Quite charming - apart from the occasional vulgarity, which I was ladylike enough to rise above!
