I'm new to Sheffield, moved here a month ago! I live kind of near the city centre and i want to start knitting! Are there any groups i could join. I'm male, 29 years old and want to learn about crochet as well! Anyone else out there who wants to start knitting but maybe are too scared to go it alone in the quest for crafting?

Hi and welcome to Sheffield! There are lots of different regular meets all over the city - details can be found in this thread (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=98114) but Im not sure how up to date it is. Our own group tends to meet on the last Wednesday of the month at the Wool Baa in Hunters Bar and is normally advertised at the top of this board:)

Just contacted Learn for Life knitters group and it is currently on hold-waiting for more information on that.
