Next Saturday 18 September at the Central Library Theatre Sheffield.
Sheffield songwriter Neil McSweeney hosts the night and presents two of his favourite acts of the last few years.
Neil's brother tipped him off about Jonny Kearney & Lucy Farrell after hearing them on the Radio 2. Suitably impressed after having a listen online Neil invited them to Sheffield to play the diminutive Lantern Theatre in May. The show sold out in less than a week and the duo enjoyed themselves so much they've agreed to come back.
They've spent much of the year touring the UK and Europe opening for the Mercury Prize nominated folk group The Unthanks and have just completed a busy summer of festival shows including Cambridge Folk Festival and Green Man.
Jacob Fletcher hails from London and has brought his brooding, spare folk to Sheffield at Neil's behest on a couple of previous occasions. With a new album in the pipeline his opening set is a warm up for a couple of high profile shows in paris and London later in the Autumn.
Neil McSweeney will headline with a special one-off set including elements of his solo and band show and featuring guest performers.
The venue has a fully licensed bar and there will be an interval.
