took our car for its mot today and it failed because there is no water coming through the windscreen washer, yes we have checked there is water in and made sure the holes arn t blocked upand the pump sounds ok,anyone got any ideas on a solution or where to take it to be looked at:thumbsup:
Have you cleared them with a 'fine pin' in case they're blocked with sandy deposits from summer rain!!
If the pump is running it seems unlikely to be the motor but then again I am not an expert!!
Good Luck!

the pipe often comes off.
if you squirt the water and it leaks on to the road from under the car, then that is where the pipe has come apart.
I have had 2 ford cars where this has happened on the rear wash wipe.
One came off the pump at the bottom of the water reservoir, and one came apart at a coupling in the roof lining.
You just find the pipe and push it back on/ back together.
My friend has a citroen, which the pipe came off in the engine bay near the bonnet hinge. I just re-adjusted the pipe in it's fixings so it wasn't stretching anymore and connected it back up and it's been ok for over 12 months since!

A suggestion to try...
Unclip the the hose from the washer-nozzles and blow back down the pipe as hard as you can, you should see a jet of water coming from the breather-hole in the screen-wash reservoir if the pathway is clear... That cured my problem with the screenwashers...

I once had a leaky pipe (or was it the pump? - can't remember) that caused the wash fluid to drain back to the tank. I fitted a one-way inline valve and it cured the problem.
