hi

I would be grateful for any help in solving the problem i have with my dvd player. I bought a sony dvd player almost a year ago.

The problem i have is it plays far too loudly ('almost blowing speakers' too loudly), using the dvd remote makes no difference, i've tried playing different dvds, shop bought, hired and other...but still no luck.....

The shop i bought the dvd player from has gone bust, so i can't go and demand my money back!

Any help would be much appreciated, as in our house we are still watching vhs.........

If only Microsoft made DVD players apart from Xbox... :P

I'm sorry, I just dislike Sony.

I'm even considering binning my Sony Ericsson phone next year and upgrading to a new phone, at the moment the Sony serves my purpose as a phone in its own right, but the screen on it is crap, really dark and impossible to see in daylight when the Sun hits it...

Is it connected via scart/phono? Or through a separate AV sound setup?

To be honest, if you can't find any easy solution just get yourself down the supermarket and get a cheap replacement! :) No point messing about too long when you can buy ok ones for £25-30 and decent ones for £40...
