Theatre at Dempseys returns for an Autumn season at Dempseys Bar and Club, 1 Hereford Street, Moorfoot, Sheffield. 'The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband' by Debbie Issit is performed by Double Bluff Theatre Company. It is a highly entertaining exploration of jealousy, humiliation, deceit and betrayal which gives an entirely new meaning to the old adage, "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach."

It stars Yvonne Dempsey, Gillian Langley and Ian Clarke. Direction comes from Keith Bailey. Pay on the door. £7.00/£5.00 concessions.

The new season also welcomes actress Frances Barber as patron of the Theatre at Dempseys project. She is keen to see fringe theatre develop in the city and sees Dempseys as a springboard for small theatre companies to reach new audiences.

Thanks for the post. Pensioners will get the concession price of £5.00.

I should mention that all ticket sales go to the performing company and not the venue. All productions are given rent free space. This way it keeps financial risk to a minimum for the performing companies.

that seems a lot on top of the bus fares and a few pints of lager can you do it a bit cheaper or do a pick up service?
