Intro:

I use an Apache 2.0.51 server to access work files on my computer when im out. The directories are protected with "basic" auth in .htaccess files.

The problem:

Files cut out after 131,072 bytes everytime.
Access log says the whole file was sent:

**.**.***.*** - val [05/Oct/2005:17:17:09 +0100] "GET /****/***/wotever.ai HTTP/1.1" 200 3143693

Error log says user got blocked?!:

[Wed Oct 05 17:16:58 2005] [error] [client **.**.***.***] client denied by server configuration: C:/wotever/access.htac

This happends on both local machine (loopback) and remote machine in whatever software i use (IE/FF..)
I have used this set up for ages, its only recently that it stoped working. The TimeOut is at 1200, KeepAlive is on with timout of 15 and max requests at 100.

There's a couple of things, depending on how you're uploading. If it's something like sheffieldforum & you're uploading via a web interface then you have to open up php.ini & find...

upload_max_filesize = 64M

...&...

post_max_size = 64M

& change them (I can't remember what they are by default). If it's just not letting you upload, then it may be the LimitRequestBody thingamajigummy in httpd.conf, check here (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/core.html#limitrequestbody) for more info. I think there may be something else in httpd.conf too, but I can't remember right now... :huh:

Its the other way around, the downloads get cut :(
