aah the old - its not real "R&B" argument... but sounds like you're confusing lumpy 1960/70s pub rock with what has been the term for black popular music since at least the 1950s.

Yes, all that aside, to answer the original question, I'd say Funkology on Fridays @ Takapuna is probably your best bet... the music's a bit more heavyweight than the nights you've mentioned, but still fairly accessible. :cool:

Hi there - I have to say if you are looking for decent rnb in sheffield then you are looking in the wrong place. Since I've got here I'm yet to be properly impressed! Ice bar/orchis has been known to play some proper rnb/hip hop sets that you can shake your booty to but they are few and far between and you have to way up decent music against being groped and letched and your feet sticking to the floor (sticky carpet!). My my - I sell that place so well!
Am more than up for touring the country to find the best music tho, and if you really want a good night then it does require looking out of Sheffield unfortunately - If you find somewhere good tho - please let me know!!!
