I keep getting free biros every week, from charities,in the post.Of course they are always asking for a donation(which I never give)but I always keep the biros.I get a least two a week. Where have they got my name from ? and why me ? I do feel a bit guilty keeping their biros, but I dont ask them to send them,do I ?At this rate I will never have to buy a biro again !

I never buy pens now. Charities must think we are really thick if they think giving us a free pen will make us more inclined to give to their particular cause. Don't they realise everyone already has a pen to fill the form in if they choose to? Any chance they will start sending out mobile phones for those of us who might prefer to pay by phone rather than cheque? ;)

One charity even had the cheek to write in their begging-letter that if I didn't want to send them money I should send the pen back. No freepost address to send it to, of course!

You will notice of course that there is just enough ink in them to fill the form in.:(

And for free. Why dont the charities just stop making them, and posting them out, and give the money to themselves.!

an Internet forum (the paperless Future no less) supporting the use of the Biro

Maybe if the charities didn't have these biros made, they could use the money towards...oh say, the charity?
