Whilst on another lovely day in the Peak District, we picked up this leaflet on the Longshaw Estate.

That's what I like. Precise and to the point. Any knitters? Will you knit blah blah blah. Thank you.

I'm going to help out here. Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else fancied knitting some small mittens or hats and scarfs. Sometimes these small things are a nice stop gap between our own knitting, or something to do when brain freeze sets in and you can't think what to knit next.

I'm sure whatever you knit will be appreciated. :D

Thank you for sharing that Wheezy. I like mittens, especially in small sizes, as they are faster to knit than socks. Sometimes I need a sense of achievement instead of the usual stuff-still-not-finished so I'll knit a few. My mother has a cardboard box filled with scarves and hats from when we spent a year knitting and then missed the trip to the Operation Christmas Child warehouse. I'll raid that for a few hats and scarves.

You have better days out than me, mine was spent buying school uniform. I probably didn't spend all day doing it but it felt like it.

I'm sure they'll appreciate it angrymumtwo. I'm going to do some mittens first. Never made mittens before :o

Just come back from dropping off four pairs of mittens at the Longshaw Estate. They have a lovely, lovely tea room and well worth a visit, dropping the mittens off rather than posting them.
