View Full Version : Are you going with your h2b suit shopping? lilmisslovet 18-08-2010, 08:53 just wondered what everyone else s doing lilmisslovet 19-08-2010, 07:42 anyone ... yes or no? eleanorjclar 19-08-2010, 09:26 Mine went with his best man to try on and choose and everything. Then next time we were in Meadowhall, he showed my the colours and style to check I liked them - but I haven't seen him in his full rig! *Hipster* 19-08-2010, 12:01 Of course!! Will let him have his say of course, ha ha!! But he obviously has to fit in with the colour scheme, style , match my dress, etc. He actually wants me to come with him to help him choose (he's not the best shopper in the world, esp. for clothes!!) emma.82 19-08-2010, 15:20 well My brother isnt a shopper (what man is?) but he wouldn't let my sis-in-law come with him to hire shop or see him in the suit. his bestman our cuz went. A little heated exchange went on that he couldnt see her dress so he couldnt see his suit! (Oh he did stay with the colour scheme, and didnt change anything) Er does that help? lilmisslovet 20-08-2010, 07:26 thanks, i think mt h2b wanted to go goon his own but when he thought about te fact he doesnt know what the dress is like and isnt best at matching what goes and what doesnt he is contemplating me going wth him, just wondered if it was a step too far lilmisslovet 20-08-2010, 07:27 plus i have a strong dislike to tail coats and silk waistcoats ade1987 25-08-2010, 14:06 I went with my hubby 2 b to try his suit on after all if i dident im sure he would have picked somthing that i dident like or the wrong colour. Men should not be trusted to shop alone when it comes to a wedding lol a women behind is always a good start, Were getting married in May 2011 and we got our suits from formal affair in sheffield centre which we must go and pay for, Just reminded me hehe weddings phh so much to do and sort out but im sure it will be perfect in the end. :) sky0000547 25-08-2010, 15:38 I'm a h2b and my w2b came along and picked the colour of the suit I am hiring. She decided on the colour scheme and I'm just there for the ride. I did decide which style of suit I am having though. Not that long to go now :) locket 10-09-2010, 20:57 i went with h2b that now hubby. i picked the suit, paid for the suit & made sure it fitted right, then i got the ties & shoes etc couldnt trust him lol then took best man for his too make sure he got the right 1 honeyb35 11-09-2010, 23:37 I went with my hubby, mainly to ensure that the colour went with my dress (I got married in red). He chose the style of suit and waistcoat himself though. Its a good job I went, as I'd told him the colour scheme was red, and he was looking at bright scarlet, when my dress was a deep wine colour. The person in the shop (suits you at meadowhall) was very attentive and asked me quietly about the colours when hubby was in the changing room, as he'd guessed hubby didn't know the colour of my dress! medicgirl 14-09-2010, 22:39 My hubby went with his mum and brother (who was the best man) - I could have gone, but felt it was important for them to have it as 'bonding time' - like brides going dress shopping with their mums (which I didn't do, but that's another story!) I had no say in what he chose/wore and it worked out fine - he did pick out a pink tie when the bridesmaids were wearing burgundy but surprisingly it looked OK! |
