I've been a handful of times.

I've seen Oasis who were supported by Pulp. Both were incredibly boring and the sound whilst Oasis were on stage was quite painful. I was sat at the back and all I could hear was a trebly screeching.

Saw Blur who were absolutely outstanding - better musicians by a mile, better frontman and they actually put on a show.

I then took my niece to see S Club 7 which was run-of-the-mill okay.

Then the last gig I went to was Paul McCartney who showed was a professional he is. Not as good as his gig at St. George's Dock in Liverpool in 1990 though.

As a venue I'd say it's okay but still faces the same catering problems which for some reason is part of the deal at English venues. The Yanks watch baseball and American Football with mega-crowds and there are no queues for the 'john' or a beer there.

And don't get me started on merchandise and Official Programs.

I've never ever been - but stare at the place all day from my office window. Strange!

Parking seems to be a nightmare though when there's an event on, you wouldn't believe what time people start arriving for an evening show/concert.

Been multiple times (including taking small children to see Barney live) but the best time was when I got (free) front block tickets to see Peter Gabriel last year. Now there's someone who knows how to put on a show! The lighting and sound engineers needed awards, and they kept it going for nearly 3 hours.

Agree entirely that it's a dodgy venue unless you know where you'll be sitting, and if the sound engineers get the sound even slightly wrong it sucks and gives you tinnitus too.

Transport isn't a problem as the tram is always there to collect you at the end, whether it goes on late or even if the show finishes early, as when Michael Stipes came on for 30 minutes and did an acoustic set but then finished as one of the group was ill. We had a great taster and then went back a few months later for the real thing. Sheffield transport were alerted and the trams all sprang into action.
I've seen:

Bryan Adams
David Bowie
Cliff Richard
Paul MCartney
Elvis Presley (twice)
Four Tops
Bob Dylan (twice)
Stereophonics
REM
Shania Twain
Dire Straits
Queen with Paul Rogers

There must be others, but I can think at the moment.

Got tickets for Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds
Wherever you sit the atmosphere is terrific.

At Don Valley:

Tina Turner (twice)
Rolling Stones (twice)
