Every time I learn something new or see something fab it seems such a shame I don't know anyone pregnant to share the info with.
So, I'm beginning a thread for other prospective and new parents so we can all get the best out of the opportunities presented to us.

Todays reason for this: I received my 'parenting club' stuff from Boots which included a free No.7 make-up voucher (to value of £16.00), a free Mediterranean product (value £5.00), a free suncare product (value unlimited), a Huggies starter pack (value £25, I think) and a free Avent pack (value approx £5.00) in addition to various coupons for money off, extra points etc.
Furthermore I recently received my Tesco's baby club stuff which meant I got a parking sticker so I can park close to the store with extra door space if I display the sticker in my car. Fabulous!
Oh, and the car park behind Argos on the Moor - they let pregnant ladies park in Mother and baby spaces so they have door opening space, which is nice! Even if you have no other kids etc.
So, there we go. I feel utterly spoilt and special today with all my freebies and priveliges which definitely make life easier while lugging two babies around inside me :)
Anyone got anything to contribute?

Hi ilaria,
I read your thread about expecting another, congrats!
I'm 33 weeks with twin girls and at the fed up stage so these niceties certainly make life more pleasant.
I'll keep you posted if I come across anything new, although you probably know most of it since your first is so young.

have you received a book from your midwife called emmasdiary?
if so when you get one you get a card to get a mum-to-be pack containing goodies and advice also same goes for bounty.

Also another tip from a tired Mum of 3!!

Your money off coupons will be accepted by Tesco, Asda regardless of whether you bought the product!!

ie., £1 off Huggies coupon = £1 off your shopping...whatever you bought!!

another tip....

try baby signing...dead easy to learn 5 key phrases/movements

More - bang hands together
Wet/Soiled Nappy - fingers up and down
Hungry - right hand to chest
Thirsty - hand to mouth like miming a drink
Tired - hands together under ears like miming sleep

Very easy techniques and the above are the first 5 to try - just gesture drink before giving your child a drink etc gesture at bedtime, gesture at feedtime... etc gradually by 9/12 mths your child will be able to 'tell' you without words what they want!!

Full dictionary here (http://www.aslpro.com/cgi-bin/aslpro/aslpro)

Enjoy your babies!!

I love the idea of a bellycast but I really have no idea what I'd do with it after, plus I doubt Sheffield has enough plaster to cover this bump.

Emma's Diary - not yet but then my midwife has left a lot to be desired. I did get the Bounty pack from hospital though.

Tesco and coupons... I'll remember that and the baby signing is fabulous. I've seen it done and I think it's great, I'll definitely be giving it a shot as soon as they are ready. Besides, Meet The Fockers made me laugh enough to look it up!

HI Satan in Heels,
I'm kinda ready, the new house is still looking pretty rough around the edges, boxes still need unpacking and finishing touches to decor etc.
These are our first and I am SOOO ready to have them. I am HUGE!
I actually can't drive anymore because my seatbelt doesn't fit around the middle. It's probably a good thing, I tend to push myself too far.
I can't imagine missing being pregnant, the endless loo trips, the babies feet being in painful places, the not being able to eat certain foods or fasten my seatbelt, the enormous clothes which look like barbie outfits on my ever expanding middle and the perpetual stomach acid courtesy of my daughters headbutting my stomach.
I'm told I'll feel 'empty' afterwards and that it isn't nice but the adjustment hopefully won't be too terrible with two tiny babies.
I'm just aiming for 34 weeks which is nice and safe for twins, roll on Friday 7th!

Anyone else pregnant and feeling it?

Samsmum, I've got the details for the twins club which looks great but TAMBA has an expensive registration fee doesn't it?
What's life like with twins?
The Boots stuff took so long to come through I actually rang customer services in the end and they sorted it out. The machine registration never seemed to happen despite two attempts. If it hasn't arrived soon ring them and explain and they'll undoubtedly help you out. Tel no. is on website and Boots advantage card.

zebra, i really thought i would never miss being pregnant. at the time i hated it. then looking back i now realise how amazing it felt to have that little life inside me, no matter how bad she made me feel at the time! but then again, you can enjoy them so much more when they are out! Excited for you anyways! awww babies! thought i said i would never have another but... all these new babies making me think twice! dont half wish i had actually had a SMALL baby that looked something remotely like a newborn tho! you got all clothes n stuff n equipment ready? i have got loads of stuff we dont use (any hardly ever have, especially baby baths, never used) if anyone needs anything? x

Hello,
I am 25 weeks pregnant with one baby of as yet undisclosed gender
Congrats both on the pregnancy and actually getting anything from Boots  - I signed up ages a go and got my new advantage card double quick but nothing since. I have mailed them and they assure me its on it s way though.......
Got my Tesco pack today, I like the magazine and I am collecting coupons for everywhere at a rate of knots but I would have been happier if they had included some free stuff too.
Pregnancy really does turn you into a freebie hoe by neccasity (spel?) doesn't it lol?
I have heard that Sainsbury's are selling lots of Avent stuff like sterilisers and bottles off really cheaply (possibly they are no longer going to stock them??) so thats worth investigating :D

A friend of mine sent me a text and said that Netto on Woodseats are selling Avent bottles, in case we needed any.
However, another friend just bought us a steriliser and it came with all the bottles we need and some freebies!
So, even though Netto isn't popular - maybe it's worth a trip?
And on the flip side of the coin, all the coupons I keep getting for various mother and baby clubs and from magazines are frequently for Avent stuff - doesn't the Bounty pack have Avent vouchers?
Boots tend to just process coupons in my experience and normally don't count how many coupons relate to how many items. (Especially the Meadowhall one!)
I just found out today that a friend of mine is pregnant and due in June, she's been trying for ages so I'm really pleased for her.

hmm.. maybe will brave a trip to netto then sometime. im sure i have had loads of coupons for avent stuff but tis hard to say where they might be as i didnt think we would need any more bottles any time soon!! we started off with loads n she only just started being bottle fed anyways!
congrats to your freind zebra! hope all goes well for her! x

I've got a new game - I'm too hugely pregnant to get behind the steering wheel to go shopping so I've taken to online shopping at Tesco, online voucher codes are fabulous.
I've got codes XX-XKCP for £10 off a £75 shop and XX-FPCR for 1500 clubcard points, just can't use them together but your account stores the vouchers for next time. Bargain!
So, I can see it as free delivery and £6 off my shopping which is fine with me.
Vouchercodes.com is creating some real help for me and I'm sure it will be the same once the twins are here.

We're just a week away from our third child, so my wife's been busy getting all the freebies in. It will be another cesarean birth, so that makes it easier to book my paternal leave from work. Let the fun commence

Ahhh, almost a luxury with the paternity leave. My fella is worrying all the time, it's a toss up between taking it as soon as they arrive, although they could be in NICU (cos twins are invariably early) or wait until they come home with me and take it then. It's hard to work out what's for the best and we don't have a date although it will most likely be ceasarean since both these naughty girls are breech.
Ho hum.
What did you find best with paternity or have you always taken it when your baby arrived?
