Does anyone know why there's pink bunting on the lamp posts running alongside Endcliffe Park towards Hunters Bar roundabout please? It wasn't there last night on my way home and I can't see any signs that give an idea as to why it's there... Just curious...!

Ta!

Oh nobody inparticular - the thought just amused me.

I'm very self-centred like that eg when I hear rain outside I like to pretend it's the sound of crowds applauding me!!!

And yep, I am a born grafter. And I do not think yoo are in any position to comment on that!! Shall we compare CV's u rapscallion!!!

But back to the matter in hand - the glorius bunting. I love it!!! It starts down at Waitrose, and is a complete mystery.

I hope it stays up forever, and they alternate the colour scheme, and have music blasting, and give out free ice cream....but really now, what the bobbins is it all about???

I wondered if it went right down Ecclesall Road. Surely someone must know why it's there...?

Maybe they could do the free ice cream during the summer, then change the colours to red and green at Christmas and give away free Christmas cake.. whoever "they" are... :suspect:

Aha! I wondered about it yesterday. They were putting more up last night when we called into Elif's... so now it goes all the way from Hunters Bar to the start of Ecclesall Road.

It looks quite nice :)

Yep, it's true.
Did some investigation over lunch ( boss insisted I took a break!)
It's starts Saturday - according to the Design Studio chappy the whole of Ecco Road is set to turn pink for a breast cancer awareness campagne.

Good Stuff!!!

Hi all,

Any of you guys know what all the Pink Flags are for that are on every lampost on Ecclesall Road? They been there for a few days but I don't know what they are for. It may be something obvious but I go past on the bus so only catch them fleetingly...

Cheers

I was wondering myself it it was some sort of gay-pride thing, or if the council thought it would be a good idea to make Ecclesall Sheffield's very own gay village

It is a pity that the pink bunting doesn't make it clear exactly what it is celebrating.
It is all very well that it has caught our attention, but without a sign to say what it stands for.....
