ok help
i have a dvd recorder attatched to my tv which records from my video cam etc i wish to edit on my pc when i place cd in dvd drive on pc it is not recognised by windows movie maker or media player however it will play in cyberlink powerdvd player but although this has the option to save image clips it does not have the option to save video clips or alter to a format which is recognised by movie maker does anyone know any dvd movie software which will read this type of dvd and edit function or software which is easy enough for a dumpling to work to convert this for me

tried to delete this as i have now reposted in computer tech but it wouldnt let me help from mods please also help from any techies out there see computer tech section thanks everyone

You'll need a program like DVD2AVI to get it from a 'film' format back to a computer data format.

Just do a search on videohelp.com for DVD2MPG or DVD2AVI and you'll find the help and tools to convert it to a format you will be able to edit.
