Just wondering......

we're a bit bored in the office and are having a discussion about it. Mine's Bernie Clifton in Newquay when I was six, he stole my sisters sweets and threw them into the crowd. I've never forgiven him.

My colleague went to see Jason Donovan haa haa !

Bernie Cliffton used to own a farm and I used to keep my horse there. I remember how we used to laugh at him when he sent all his ostriches away to be dry cleaned!

I went to see Puppetry of the Penis recently at the Edinburgh Festival. That was pretty funny! :hihi:

Oh yeah, I've seen the Cheaky Girls too.

And when I was at uni loads of dodgy people played comedy acts at the Octagan. Slade were my personal favourite - they were fab!

Jennifer Rush at the City Hall in the 80's. It was skin peelingly embarassing as there was an audience of about 80 in this vast space. We got free tickets and we were on the second row! I still cringe at the thought of it.

Hole at the Reading Festival 95. Courtney Love firstly had her guitar switched off because she couldn't play it and then her microphone switched off because she couldn't sing. She was eventually escorted off after pushing an amp from the stage onto a security guard. One of the funniest things I've ever watched.

The Lilac Time at The NMB in 1990. 17 people attended. However, they made up for it by inviting us down to their dressing room to eat their sarnis.

Jimmy Clitheroe, Scarborough 1968. I made several attempts to escape, but my parents bound me to the seat.

Definitely 'Britpop band' Powder at the Leadmill, sometime in the mid 90s. (Their singer, Pearl Lowe, is the partner of Supergrass's Danny Goffey, and is currently some sort of designer, and a member of Kate Moss's posse. Was involved in some goings-on with Jude Law, apparently  )

Anyway, Powder must've been supporting someone else I wanted to see - can't remember - but they were beyond dreadful. I actually found myself chatting throughout their set - and I make a point of never talking during a band's set. I think it's incredibly rude, and I generally feel that anyone who's got the guts to get up there on stage and perform, deserves the respect of being listened to.

Every band except Powder, that is :gag: Excruciatingly bad performance, in the end I don't think anyone noticed when they left the stage. C*** beyond words.

Evan Dando from the Lemonheads just standing at the amp playing feed back on his guitar while high on something while the reast of the band walked off and left him.

The X-Factor Live Tour - featuring the last 12 finalists from that popular show...

Tellingly, the singer who achieved the most rapturous welcome was the 'chicken plucker' guy singing Barbie Girl.

(I knew at that point that there was something seriously wrong with my social life but consoled myself with the fact that my kids had MADE me take them..) :gag: :help:
