That Stanage Edge picture is amazing... so amazing i've set it as my wall paper!

Glad you like them da bouncer! just take pictures for fun, although having said that I sold a print last week, which I was very chuffed about!

Nice pic of Stanage edge Tim,did you use a red filter to darken the sky? or is it digital!!

That shot was taken on digital, and converted later. It was definitely the red filter effect I was after though, white clouds against black sky. Often I have been on Stanage edge and when the weather is nice it is like a country park - I wanted to show some drama!

To look at historical photos of places in sheffield, try searching the archives at http://www.picturesheffield.com/ . It can be very interesting seeing places in Sheffield that you recognise but photographed 100 years ago or more.

The old one of charter row is interesting, when was it taken??


Anyone know when the entrance to the carpark was put in its not there in this photo, and also what was the building at the bottom (now a diy shop) and when did it get knocked down??
