1. Corpse Bride.

The new Tim Burton film. Has got some very good reviews.

2. History of Violence.

New Cronenberg film with Vigo in it. Again some great reviews.

3 Primer.

Intrigued. I know many who have the R1 dvd and compare it to Donnie Darko. Meant to be slightly baffling but looks interesting.

4 A Scanner Darkly

I love Linklater. This again looks great

5. Southland Tales

from the man who brought you Donnie Darko

what is everyone else looking forward to seeing?

I can't wait to see the 'Firefly' movie "Serenity".

If it's half as good as the series it should be excellent. From what I've read/seen about it so far, it's looking like a real treat.

Let's hope it's successful enough to kick-start another series of 'Firefly' - a series cruelly hacked down in its prime.

PS Really looking forward to seeing Captain Mal up there on the big screen! :D Drool! :P

I'm looking forward to Serenity as well. Am a big fan of the series. There isn't much Kaylee in it though :(

Awww, I'm sorry to hear that - I really like her as a character.

Still, as long as there's plenty of Captain Mal I won't be complaining too much.....

I can't wait either (and will hopefully be able to gatecrash a press screening if one gets scheduled!)

It isn't likely to get a new series - Joss said as much in an interview. However, the option is there for more movies (the initial deal was for 3) - so there will be more from the gang.

As for the rest of the year -

King Kong - can't wait to see what Jackson does with it
Narnia - classic story, film looking good.

that's about it....

Next year -
Superman - Bryan Singer did the job on X-Men...here's hoping he can repeat the sucess.
Southland Tales - Richard Kelly will hopefully prove that he isn't a one-hit-wonder

and on August 17th next year......

SIN CITY 2 - yay!
