I have been watching the new adventures of he-man, and thought how many remakes of some of the classics are there?
I know of the Turtles, Transformers and he-man, does anyone know of anymore and do you think they match up to the originals?

Don't you think the new Skeletor is a bit more sinister now, he does a lot more than say nincompoop to the bumbling baddies!

What would you like to see make a comeback remake or not?

I actually don't think the new He Man show is as good as the original show from the early 80s.

Probably cos it's more "grown up" and about the fighting rather than the good old fashioned goodies versus baddies tone of the original, I also liked in the original how you'd get a character at the end of each episode going through how certain parts of the episode related to real life issues, such as trusting one and other, even if the other appears to be evil, and other messages, the new series doesn't have that.

That is the exact same reasons that I despise the 80s wave of cartoons. Patronising messages that take up 5 minutes telling us all how to be so wonderful and nice to each other. I prefer the new He-Man take over the old one. I also prefer the recent TMNT over the 'Hero' Turtles rubbish as the new one feels more like the original comic book (which pre-dates the old cartoon by a few years).

However, I prefer classic Transformers over anything pooped out over recent years!

I'd like to see Thundercats come back, even if it's just repeats of the old ones on Cartoon Network on Sky.

I'm worried the CGI based movie that's coming out in either 2009 or 10 will suck, CGI movies nearly always end up crap (TMNT movie from last year anyone?)

The TMNT movie was fantastic. The look and feel of Eastman & Laird's great comics was captured brilliantly by the CGI which was both simple and detailed at the same time. The rooftop fight in the rain was one of the high points of the film. I only hope the Thundercats movie can look and feel as good.
